People of Mane Yongma village wants to construct a temple in the village. The monk told them to gather once a week and chant this buddhist mantra for few hours together to purify themselves.
“OM AH HUNG VAJRA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG”.
Summers being a hectic time for the village people who are busy in their fields, the decision to gather every sunday evening and chant the mantra for few hours in the village monastery is made. One member for each house has to attend the gathering. To stay awake after a tiring week of hard work, villagers bring flasks full of milk tea, butter tea and Tsampa (roasted barley powder).

The monk keeps and eye on each one present and is ready with his drum to wake them when found asleep.
